LASER CUTTING
Cut to measure, guaranteeing versatility, flexibility and competitiveness.
In 2004, the company added laser technology to operate alongside its conventional punching presses, with the acquisition of a first Trumpf 3050 machine. In the course of the following year, having seen the huge advantage gained, especially in terms of flexibility, two more Trumpf machines were added, one 4050 and one 5030. These three innovative TRUMPF laser cutters have now become the spearhead of the Comel production departments. Thanks to the versatility of the systems, characterized by the facility of program nesting, and an operating envelope of up to 4000 x 2000 handling gauges from 0.6 to 20 mm, the company has been able to increase its competitiveness, especially in the case of small production batches. The precision of the cutting action on noble materials such as aluminium and stainless steel also ensures high levels of visual quality. Early in 2014, the existing 3050 was replaced by the new Trumpf 5030 fiber laser, accompanied by the TruStore 3030 automatic storage system with 58 pallet spaces.
